Watch the video with no sound. Brutal, looks like he was challenging the kid to a fight.

Because it appears this kid was raised right by a mother and a father.

This whole thing seems contrived for publicity.

Damn 3 days in a row? He's going to get real skinny if he's walking 120 miles a week.

ETA: No wonder Germans are in better shape than Americans.

Work smarter. Not harder. If this kid can’t figure out another way to get to work other than walk 20 miles, he wouldn’t be a good fit to work for me.

Yeah and I am pretty sure it wasn’t 20 mikes in the other 2 threads about this.

I would agree. Kid sounds like a idiot if you ask me.

I much prefer employing people that want to work over lazy people with skill every day of the week.
I have one guy who has worked for me for 5+ years now. The guys car broke down and he rode his bike in the freezing arse cold rain last year from Prescott Rd to St George to get to work.
There's not much I won't do for people like that. The people with all the talent in the world but too lazy to use it on the other hand....

Even if it was only 15, 45 miles in 3 days is impressive.

At this rate after summer, kid is ready for this.

It’s a feel good story sure but most sane people would find a better way. He had to smell like shite when he got there.

The lady that posted the story and started the gofundme for him is a good friend. She leads with her heart and was truly touched by his story when the police dropped him off at her house. I can assure you she wasn't looking for any fame for herself or him. Crazy though how this story has gone completely viral locally and nationally.

She and her husband own a small business in a loosely related field to his moving job, and my first thought was she just found the perfect employee. But his current employer stepped in and gave him a car, and I just can't see Chris and Jenny wanting to poach him after that. Truth is, this gentleman is the type of kid every small business owner in America would love to have on payroll.

And for those that are confused by the N.O. connection, he and his family were displaced to Alabama after Katrina.
