Word to the wise: If you are chatting about sex with a 15 year old boy or girl online, it's a cop. It's always a cop. Just don't do it. Don't try to make arrangements. Don't get chicken alfredo and sprite. Don't drive across state lines. Don't even start the sexy chat. You will have your mugshot on FARK or the O-T Lounge.

Could I be arrested for trying to buy baking soda that’s purported to be cocaine?
What’s the difference in principle? The baking soda is legal to purchase. Just like the undercover officer is of age.
I’m not defending the intent of attempting to hookup with underage boys and girls, but legally, I’m not sure what the difference is between someone buying a white powdery substance that’s not a drug and an undercover officer who’s of age.
The crime is the act of having relations with the underage person. Just like the crime with the powder is dependent on it being an illegal substance.
Also, is it a crime for someone to have a wife who role plays as a 17 year old?

Yeah I was confused for second. The wording was ambiguous.

Fat and gay is no way to go through life.

Yeah this is a slope I don't like. You're basically arrested for trying to do something but in reality you were never in a position of actually committing the crime.

When a parent names their (white) kid Maruna, how do they expect them to grow up normal?

He is going to do well in prison.

It's important to carb up before strenuous physical activity.

It's a little more awkward because supposedly he wasn't out trolling for underage dudes or anything. This is according to Reason (libertarian mag).
Their argument is that he's a morbidly obese kid in Ohio who is gay and who strikes up conversation online. Apparently he doesn't balk when the age issue arises, because he claims to be in love
And to some extent, I agree with the concept that a 15 year old teenage boy is unlikely to get straight up preyed upon a fat 22 year old with no friends. It probably didn't do society much good at all to put this guy in that position, I doubt he is some predator, he's just a loser who let age of consent be an afterthought when he thought someone was actually interested in him.
The problem with adopting those exceptions, of course, is that you'd need to extend that logic to women too, and I don't think our society will handle that.

So the entire time he was chatting with a legal aged adult. Got it!

That guy is about to get all of the gay sex he can handle. And some that he can't
