Bull shite.
He knew the source of the information was not credible and warned the Administration that it was likely that Saddam had some capability for WMDs but that they were likely much less than what this source was peddling.
The administration knew this and understood it and Powell sold it willingly to the world because he disagreed with stormin Normans decision top NOT destroy Saddam in the 90's. Powell is no Fing victim in any of the Iraqi calamities.
If anyone was screwed it was GWB who got spoon fed, hand picked intel from war hawks like Powell, Rumsfeld and Dickhead Chaney, and daddy bush didn't help any either. But you're not dealing with much in the way of brain power with GWB so frick them all, they're all guilty of being idiots.

None of the vaccines were ever claimed to be 100% effective. Against the original version of COVID, the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines were over 90% effective at preventing infection, meaning that the unvaxxed were about 10 times more likely to get infected. They were more effective at preventing hospitalization and death, though, meaning that the unvaxxed were about 20 times more likely to die.
The Delta variant is far more infectious, which means that the vaccines are less effective. The latest studies show that Pfizer and Moderna are probably only 50-60% effective at preventing infection, but protection from hospitalization and death is still very high. In August and September in the US, you were 11 times more likely to die of COVID if you were unvaxxed.
Obviously, some fully-vaxxed people still die. This is also because the vaccine wears off. People who are the age of Colin Powell should get booster shots.
I think many people don't understand how age discriminatory the virus is. Another way to think about the impact of vaccines is that, if you're over 50, you can think of the vaccine as dropping you down to having the same risk as someone 30 years younger than you.
