What are the unintended consequences of banning soft drinks from kids' meals?

The elimination of these drink sizes will make parents that want to give their kids these drink get them larger drinks now.

The outright prohibition of them will
Make kids want them more because kids always want what they are told they cant have.

Its just virtue signaling. Prohibition doesn't work, kids will find other ways to get their soda fix.

Meh, fruit drinks are just as bad.

And I have a problem with government intervening in personal choice.

restruants only have to provide a clean kitchen/eating space and safe food. no other restrictions to get a liscense. its a non regulated industry

Alcohol, building permits, and food handling licenses that have to be renewed regularly by employees. And your food service license. Which you regularly get checked through inspections by the health department.

We couldnt open a restaurant one time because a sink needed to be moved over by 1 inch in baton rouge.

There are all sorts of shite that can stop you from opening when it comes to random bs depending on what county or parrish you are in.

The frick are you talking about?

12 oz of coke is 145 calories
12 oz of 2% milk is 171 calories

Fat future diabetic kids are going to get just as fat and diabetic with a milk or juice

The kids serving of 1% milk at Mcdonalds is 100 calories. So about a 10% reduction in overall calories for the meal, just like I said. The milk also has the benefit of protein, calcium, and other micros.

Milk and juice are not the healthiest option for many kids but it is hard to argue soda is a better one when in fact it is worse.

This is both racist and targeted at the poor since satirically this is the area with high obesity numbers……

And will have no effect if all u need to do is ask for the coke instead.

Another virtue signaling gesture….
