Not so fast

Whether you want expert instruction on neurosurgery, blacksmithing, or jet engine repair, world-renowned expert on all things Greta Thunberg will be there to lecture you.

"This will be a huge step up in quality for us," said David Rogier, CEO of the online learning site. "We thought about bringing her on to teach one class on global warming, but then we thought, 'Heck, let's just have her teach everything!' There is nobody more brilliant than Greta Thunberg. This is what the planet needs right now!"

You do realize that you can be aware of what CNN airs on their programs without ever watching them? People post all over the interwebs references to their broadcasts, including YouTube links. Not that hard to figure out.

No shite. CNN used to be a real legit news agency and they were damn good, maybe even the best on big world events. But that was a long time ago, now they are on par with MSNBC

Is it bad that I legitimately might watch this just to mock and laugh at them?

Greta’s parents should’ve done a better job raising her

Greta’s parents are the actual problem here. Them and the media. I don’t blame Greta for this.

I have an idea for an invention. It consists of two small electronic devices. One connects in-line with whatever wire you use to get video and sound to your TV (or intercepts wireless traffic, if that's what you use). The other is shaped like a cartridge- 9mm, .45, .357, 7.62x39... whatever.

You install the first component on your TV, and the second component in your gun, and it simulates shooting the TV screen. You get a loud boom when you pull the trigger, and a broken glass overlay is inserted over the TV picture for some configurable period of time. The damage can even be cumulative, and you'd be allowed to aim for different areas of the screen, like in the old Duck Hunt video game.

I was talking to my wife about this last night, and we reached to conclusion that the only real technical obstacle is the sheer number of different kinds of TV connections that exist now. Back when it was all coaxial cable, I feel like I could have had this together in a matter of months if not weeks.

Wonder if they gave her two months notice, so she could sail over for the show?
