You understand the data they're quoting comes directly from the fricking administration, right? And you can find the same shite reported by dozens of outlets......but......

Who gives a shite if it is paid off, they still have to pay taxes on it again. All the equity does is allow them to get a loan to pay the tax.

I was told somewhere between 12-15 mil would be owed. I don’t understand taxes beyond using TurboTax. The guy made ton of money owning land and water to sell in the middle of a prominent oilfield. And once he collected a large amount, he’d turn around and buy more land. Eventually hunting places and such. Maybe that’s smart, maybe that’s not, as he didn’t really hang on to money for long.

So upon passing, the estate was valued at a point that millions in taxes are owed, but there’s not the cash on hand so land has to be sold. Just seemed fricked up to me that after you’ve paid taxes on the income that allowed you to buy the land and assets, your descendants also have to pay taxes upon your death.

So this guy owned somewhere is the neighborhood of $50 million dollars of land. And that’s if he didn’t have a spouse that could take the exemption as well.

No it doesn’t

And if you are sitting on tens of millions of dollars of assets and do no estate planning, I don’t really feel sorry for you. You’re a retard.

But this is all made up anyway so it really doesn’t matter

Prices shot up from 202-2023ish and have leveled out relatively well in the last couple of years. It makes total sense that people wouldn’t be complaining as much. But go on with your dumbass self

Buyers for feedlots. One heifer calf and one bull calf so it’s not like someone was buying as replacements.

Why didn’t egg prices escalate in Canada during the avian flu breakout that hit us and Canada?

Not only that, but the Estate Taxes eat up these family farms and ranches as well. Landowner I've worked with for years passed away not to long ago. He didn't owe hardly any notes, and he wasn't necessarily cash rich, but he had a TON of farmland and ranchland. That's what he'd do with his money.

The estate now owes in the tens of millions in Estate Taxes to Uncle Sam because of how the land is valued as an estate asset, and since no one in the family has that kind of cash laying around, they're going to have to sell some of the farms and ranches.
