Good video on it here if you have the time.

Youtube

Cliff notes: The US eliminated a lot of risk by using taxpayer dollars in summer of 2020 to scale up domestic vaccine production well before the vaccines were FDA approved. They scaled back a lot of the regulatory red tape and compressed the approval schedule to expedite the rollout. By December 2020, the US had spent more than double the entire EU on scaling up manufacturing and distribution.

Then some EU nations made politically motivated moves to ban the British-developed Astra-Zeneca vaccine over unsubstantiated cases of side effects. Once it was obvious that the vaccine didn't cause any unusual reactions, they were slow to re-approve the vaccine...relying instead on American drug makers.

You'd never have known it by our media coverage last year that the US was so far ahead.

Hmmmmm. Can’t think of any reason why that would be.

The Trump administration nailed the vaccine infrastructure development.

Hmmm...let me think who the President was during this vaccine ramp up time that was blamed for not protecting the US population like the European leaders were.

Trump did well with the vaccine, and that is very important. He did terrible in leading the country to a balanced stance to prevent spread. If Trump had come out from the beginning with information HE ALREADY KNEW, and said this is going to be a long haul until we get a vaccine; we can handle it with year-long lockdowns or we can handle it with masks; he could have led the nation to wear masks but avoid most of the lockdowns.

This isn’t conjecture. Many nations succeeded this way. Instead Trump sent wildly mixed messages, and in particular, he trained his supporters to hate masks. This guaranteed we would have to have lockdowns until herd immunity. In that, Trump failed.

Get the frick outta here. He left the states to decide what was best for them and they acted accordingly. The people who were hailed as "the real leaders" of COVID and did the most draconian shite had the highest body counts. I'm so sick of this bullshite narrative that people like you spew as of it has any sort of basis in fact.

there are mutiple studies that show mask do not work and neither do lockdowns. As usual with people like you, you say you rely on science, but you spout anti scientific approaches to things.

In other words, you make shite up to fit an agenda and support things because you know...."WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!!"

The so called science people waffled back and fourth on these items and in the end Fauci chose to "DO SOMETHING" rather than let it play out like it should.

Trump would be in his second term had he not shot himself in this foot repeatedly. Fricking drinking bleach. Finally caught up to him. He should have embraced masks big time and kept with the anti lockdown mantra. Hopefully history recognizes his vaccine success.

Yet Biden is on Twitter everyday bragging about how they blew past his goal of 100MM shots in 100 days.

Wonder why there was so much vaccine available for distribution to get it in people's arms? The answer is Operation Warp speed and Biden had frick all to do with that.

Which would have done absolutely nothing. As evidenced by the spread and spikes in Europe, who had universal mask mandates and universal usage.

Their beloved St. Fauci said not to wear masks, but we're supposed to forget all about that because he's not to be questioned even in the case of making a complete 180.

about the only thing we agree on. Trump's issue is allowing his ego to slow him from changing direction.

quote:

come out from the beginning with information HE ALREADY KNEW, and said this is going to be a long haul until we get a vaccine

we have learned a ton about this virus as it moved around. new things were learned, and are still being learned. these thing take time. which is awful because of the deaths linked to this virus.

quote:

he could have led the nation to wear masks

the CDC has done multiple about faces regarding masks. so has the WHO. glad you knew this for sure as early as you did though.

quote:

avoid most of the lockdowns

as much as i hated this, we really knew nothing accept that this virus was extremely communicable in the very beginning.

quote:

he trained his supporters to hate masks

after it was learned that they do not work.

quote:

lockdowns until herd immunity.

those two things do not go together.

quote:

Trump failed

He "failed" in the same way that ALL "leaders" failed; this was an opportunity to promote healthy living. Not to put the fear of God in everyone for a virus with a 99+% recovery rate for normal people.

Fair is fair: DT absolutely did speed up vaccine research/production. I can’t argue that.

I've watched the video three times now. Not sure where she's from, but I could listen to her read the phone book.
