I always do my laundry and make sure the dishes are cleaned and saved before my cleaning lady comes. Everything else is on her.

Been there. Sad when your shite is so messy the cleaning lady can't handle it.

It depends. She is there for a finite time and can only do so much. I will put up and fold my laundry before she comes, for example, because I want her to do the stuff I do not want to do, like mopping floors, making beds etc...

Cleaning the house isn't a one step process. There can be certain more tedious things that you want a cleaning staff to concentrate on, so you get some stuff out of their way. Having a cleaning lady isn't an excuse to be a total slob.

My wife does this. Doesn't want the cleaning ladies thinking we are gross or messy. I'm not talking just straightening. She will vacuum the pathways, dust a bit, do everything the cleaning ladies will do, only not do it as well.

My mom used to make me do this as a kid. We had a fricking cleaning lady and my mom didn't work.

I think seeing her sit around in a big house, buy whatever she wanted, go on vacations, never work, and then act like she had any real problems is what made me the man I am today. There's something I can't stand about women who don't do anything.

She's only at the house for 3-4 hours. I want her scrubbing toilets, sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc...

Not picking up stuff my kids or I are too lazy to pick up ourselves.

I'll also point out that my wife is out of town right now, and the maid came today. So what did I do this morning?

Pre-clean. Like a little bitch.

(I picked my clothes up off the floor)

I pick up stuff and do dishes because they will get lost because mine has no clue. She literally dumps the utensils from my dishwasher into the utensil drawer with no rhyme or reason.
