Then why does the prosecution not want that juror gone if your guess is so good? 
I originally thought thr same as you , we were both clearly likely wrong considering how both sides reacted to the lone juror

Because them pushing for the removal could be grounds for an appeal maybe? They also most likely would love to retry this case. Win win for them.

Prosecutions have a better chance at retrials than defense when they decide to retrial.

So, she’s either gonna be found guilty of murder, or innocent because of insanity, correct? Like Andrea Yates? Andrea Yates is still locked up in a mental institution. Is that what we’re looking at here? We’re not looking at her walking out the door, right?

A less likely but possible situation is that the holdout is actually insisting on NGRI.
The rest might have agreed to a lesser charge that he is ok with. He wants to get it done now with this jury because the prosecution will be able to come back and improve their case while the defense really can't. There is no other way you can spin the defense other than the way they did it IMO.
Like I said, I don't think that situation is likely necessarily but it is possible.

This already happened with Andrea Yates. Why is everything in such an up war about this? I’m guessing because that was 20 years ago? Because of the Internet? This is nothing new.

If it were my choice, she would be found guilty and go to jail. I don’t care how crazy you are, you kill your kids you need to go to prison. You need to be in the worst environment. But people need to understand that she’s not gonna be walking out the door and this is nothing new.

Even if the jury ultimately returns a verdict of not guilty by reason of mental illness, it does not mean she walks free. A verdict of not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility from what I have read regarding Mass law typically results in continued confinement and treatment at a secure psychiatric facility. Clancy would not be immediately released.

And that to me would be worth uproar definitely. I don’t like that she would be going to a mental institution and I don’t like that there would be any chance that she would get out at all. So I understand that. But people need to understand that nobody just walks out of the courtroom after they do something like this. Highly unlikely yes. Like, less than 1%. Andrea is still in confinement from 2006. I just want everyone to understand that.
What is new about this case is the women going crazy on TikTok. But the case itself, this is all pretty normal.

She could be out of the mental institution in under 5 years for murdering her 3 children.
Andrea Yates is still in the institution because she refuses to leave, if I remember correctly.
NGRI doesn’t mean she spends her life confined, although it absolutely should.

She chooses not to do the hearing. But she’s not able to leave. She can choose to do the hearing if she wants. to see if she’s allowed to leave. She chooses to not even bother with it. I wonder why?
