Is this an important bridge? Like a bunch of people were likely hurt?

Y’all remember when that fricking bridge fell before? Whole section dropped out. Poor lady was killed. I think 1 or 2 others as well.

Biden will tweet about this in the morning and connect it to the infrastructure bill.

Let's be clear...that bridge had a structural weakness brought on by the shifting of the...you know...the thing that holds up the earth under the bridge, and ummm...climate change shifted that bridge, and we have to throw trillions of dollars at it now. There is no time to wait, we have to print more money NOW!!!!!!!

And and and and and and and and the things that the workers, that that that that the people rivet uh uh uh uh you know, connect to the roadway, they go off and break because of the blazing hot sun and and the the the the the ground shifting and moving because of climate ch, change and. Folks, this is real. *whispers* THIS IS HAPPENING whether Donald Trump likes it or not. So let’s get back to work to BUILD BACK BETTER! My son, Beau, who is dead - he would want you to do this. To drive over this bridge once it is rebuilt using money that I and Congress out there to pay for it. Beau, what a guy. He taught in Iraq so I know what it’s like to have a son or a daughter in Chi, Iran. Iraq. And Afghanistan and Mexico too. So join me in welcoming back trains to America!

Imagine living in a city where this isn’t the most danger you can be in at any given moment.

It’s a smaller but busy bridge… but after curfew with a fair number still evacuated it probably wasn’t packed like rush hour on a weekday would be.

I think the St. Claude avenue bridge killed at least one (police officer maybe) after Katrina. Bridge was raised at night but the lights and barrier arm weren't working. Drove right off into the drink.

I imagine most people live in a city where a collapsing bridge isn't the most danger you can be in at just about any given moment.

What kind of hell on earth are living in with bridges falling down all over the place?

I like how on that video two people went to help that person hop down the couple feet to the section that dropped. Safety first....
