I’m getting one to mount in the bed of a Tacoma. The hogs have gotten out of control and this might finally get me a leg up.

Before I even viewed the video, my first though was, "who can afford that much ammo?" CIWS is at $3,500 a second (not sure of which firing rate.)

Alligators and land mines at the border. Christ, there were a bunch of hippos imported by Escobar that are running wild in Colombia. They'll attack anything. That's a deterrent.

A dozen or so of those could solve most of the problems at the border.

All the stuff we been losing in boating accidents will fill up the bayou and make them un-passable. Gonna hit my lower unit on all that stuff.

Best I can tell those are 3 or 4 M134’s which run about $250k apiece, chambered in .308.

You're correct, and there are four of them. Each can fire 6k rounds per minute (multiply by 4 for weapons count and you get the 24k rounds per minute). So figure that they fire 100 rounds per second. . . What's the current price of 7.62mm ammunition? That'd put me in the poor house mighty fast!

Usually anywhere from between $.30-.80 per round, depending on market and how many you're buying.

So, if we hit somewhere in the middle at $.50 per round, that's $12k per minute of shooting.

I now have a few ideas on how we can close the border with a lot less people patrolling.

This was the one in georgia. Article is from 2011, so seems like theyve gotten a little more technologically advanced.

The bulletin, circulated by the Office of Homeland Security, said the guns were trained toward a food plot, and that their likely intent was for hunting in an area known to be infested with feral hogs.

If you asked a politician what the rate of fire for a bump stock is they might give you this same number
