Some people are just better at having knowledge than implementing things. One of the best golf coaches I've seen could fix anyone's swing or could immediately point out a tip or two that would correct a fault you were having however dude had an ugly swing and prob carried a 20+ handicap.

Also most pro athletes have personal trainers that aren't near in the shape the athlete is in. Knowing what to do and how to do it does is the knowledge your paying for.

I know of an FP younger than 50 who smokes one & a half packs per day, not limited to entry level professions.

One of the trainers at the YMCA off O'Neil has the biggest arse of all time. She works out a ton but still looks unreal.

Gotta agree a personal trainer or fitness instructor should be ripped or huge or lean. I get it if they're a power lifter cause those guys are fat but strong as hell. But some tubby person teaching fitness is bullshite.

Being good-looking has much more to do with diet and metabolism than how well you train.

While I agree to a certain extent, what other athletic endeavor has has coaches that look the part. Most times it's folks who have more knowledge than physical ability.
