It's a true bonus tied to performance. It's also tiered with different levels with 60% being the max I can receive. But we have hit the target the last 3 years and we have already hit the necessary marks this year.

I got both last year. $1000 bonus and a shite ton of deer sausage (still got some in the freezer). I just started at a new company a month ago, so I'm not sure if I'll get anything. I'm not even sure if they do give bonuses...

Are these bonuses - like variable compensation - or are they standard every year.

I always wonder about these too. Are these guys making $60k a year and getting 60% bonuses or guys making $150k and getting that much?

We always get our bonuses in March. 10-20% of annual salary based on comapny and individual performance.

Trip to Burgundy. I say trip because they say it's a vacation, but there's no way I won't be expected to meet with suppliers.

Overall sales dictate our bonuses, so mine will be in the 15% of salary range, not including incentive or commission pay.

We used to get a week's salary. Past couple years have been 1/2 week salary. But we also have more people here now.

I work for the government, sooo....

We get to attend a pretty awesome Christmas party for the local police and firemen, but as US Marshals we just kind of.... attend.

If you did something exemplary during the year this is usually when you're presented with an award, but other than that we get nothing.

Some of the figures thrown around in the thread sound like they're baked into your salary and not a true "bonus".

In my case I consider it part of my salary. If I didn't get the bonus I get ( which equates to about 20%) I'd be looking for another job.

I actually just had a conversation with my two bosses about this two weeks ago.

It's my first Christmas with my company that's in its second full year of existence. I took a look at last year's payroll records and all the FTEs got a bonus between 5 and 10%. PTEs got $400. We had a good year so I'm hoping to get a nice bonus

It changes from year to year it seems. One year EVERYONE got a gift even if it was a 15 dollar gift card up to extra vacation days/TVs and what not. We do get a party (where the gifts are given) but it changes with the gifts. Some years you HAVE to attend to get a gift or attend to be put in a drawing for the big gift) and I don't see that as being overly fair. Not everyone is able to get off to attend the party so people with less seniority usually can't make it.... plus that party is generally full of kiss arse people and it's just not worth going.

Nothing for the 32+ years I worked as an RN. Every year when I worked in the business field.

Our company usually gives us a gift card for Christmas and, what I would call, an above average Christmas party every year. We also get bonuses every March and September. One of my best friends works in the oil and has industry, and our bonuses aren’t on that level, but for the medical field, they are pretty good.
