In a country of 25 people, most are normal. Increase the numbers, and the odds of strange things happening increases. India would have strange things happen if they had a little bit of personal wealth and we'd read about it if they had internet access.
China seems to have enough internet access in the heavily populated parts of he country to share their strangeness as well as their viruses.

I don't know, but it makes more sense that he would feel shame about the situation than if he had just swallowed it. That seems like something he would report immediately; vs option #2.

There is a frequent flier at my wife’s hospital that does this. There are at least four instances where the guy showed up to the ER with a toothbrush in his stomach. The worst one was that the brush was stuck pointing out in his stomach. I talked to one of the surgeons who removed two of them and he has this crazy story about being stuck on the GW bridge on 9/11 trying to get to the hospital to operate on this dumbass.
