China’s social credit system: how long before the USA adopts it?

Description below. Basically the way you act and post online or in public can affect your credit score, buying power, job availability etc.
Example: Take a stand on social media against something the government promotes, the interest rate on your mortgage goes up. Who knows?
But everything is falling in place for it to officially happen here. It’s already unofficially happening when advertising is pulled and shadow banning occurs but this will be next level control.

Like private credit scores, a person's social score can move up and down depending on their behavior. The exact methodology is a secret - but examples of infractions include bad driving, smoking in non-smoking zones, buying too many video games and posting fake news online.

This seems like the kind of thing our "small government" advocates would drool over.
You know, to protect the common man.

Once the Dems get power it will become the rule of law.

Republicans will support it if it hurts democrats. Democrats will support it if it hurts republicans. It will get adopted and hurt everyone.

Pro-tip: next time you want to say your retarded just type “I’m retarded” instead of the above post and you’ll save yourself some time

This could definitely exist in places like San Francisco and Seattle.

This is already happening just under the table.
If you publicly have a different opinion than what is "acceptable", lots of companies won't let you continue working for them or using their services. Getting fired for doing nothing other than having an opinion is already a form of this.
It is protected because these companies can choose to do this legally, but that doesn't make it benign.

Imagine TD if the upvote/downvote function meant something.
Like our score showed up next to our name and this score determined the placement of our posts.
Your posts would probably never been seen.
Now I’m kinda talking myself into liking this idea...

I've seen numerous threads on all 4 of these examples on the OT.
Y'all a bunch of hypocritical mf'ers.

We could really use a trashy score.
You could keep people separated unless they were within a 10 point zone.

If you're not going to post it in 3rd person, I'm not reading it.
