This virus is prominent in the mid west and has done some nasty work on Native American populations. It’s not a Chinese virus.

Well done, OP. The majority of responses to your thread have illustrated a very interesting point regarding OT posters.

I misunderstood your point, my bad. People keep saying “Coronavirus” to refer to COVID-19 when a coronavirus is a family of viruses, most of which are fairly harmless and only seven of which infect humans.

Okay, now Hantavirus would be a serious pandemic. It has a 30% mortality rate.

Alvin Kurtzweil in the first X-files movie was a conspiracy nut who discussed how the Hantavirus was going to be weaponized in order to reduce the population of the planet.

People like you shouldn't be allowed to post anything on the net and best that you not have access to the net period.

Another Chinese disease, this one came from Chinese people eating mice, and mice feces, and has caused a death.

What a fricking idiot you are. Your own graphic says the virus is contained in rodent feces, which then becomes airborne.

Correct me if I am wrong, but weren't they saying that about the Coronavirus before COVID-19?

You are both right and wrong.
There are several versions of Corona, with COVID-19 being the version we are currently fighting.
Coronavirus, in general, is the common cold and is transmittable human to human.
COVID-19 wasn't transmittable until some Chinaman ate a bat and it mutated and made the jump from human to human.
