Officials in at least four states are urging residents to report any unsolicited packages of seeds that appear to have been sent from China, warning that they might be invasive or otherwise harmful.

The agriculture departments in Washington State, Louisiana, Kansas and Virginia have issued statements in recent days, noting that residents had reported receiving packages of seeds in the mail that they had not ordered. Based on photos, the seeds appear to have been mailed in white pouches displaying Chinese lettering and the words “China Post.”

Packages of seeds have also been sent to residents in Utah, Arizona and Ohio, according to local news reports.

If China was smart and not asshoe, they would tell people that it's weed. Idiots would plant them for sure then.

It seems odd that they'd make it so obviously from a Chinese source. Just don't make it obviously Chinese and it might have worked.

The AL Dept of Agriculture & Industries (ADAI) has received multiple reports of “unsolicited” China origin seeds being delivered to residents across the state through the USPS. The packing is often mislabeled as “jewelry.”

So, they're obviously in more than four states judging by all the threads around here today. WTF is going on with this?
If China is doing some frickery, seems they'd try and be a little more discreet than to have a bunch of Chinese writing and "China Post" right on the front of the package. I could also think of a bunch of better ways to stick it to another country than mailing them seeds that will skyrocket Echo weed eater sales. Is this some sort of troll by teenagers? Or an actual CCP operation?

They’re showing up in Kentucky now.
The Chinese are smart enough to know that our system is weak when it comes to individual rights. We could never send anonymous packages to Chinese citizens because all mail is checked before delivery.
They’re also smart enough to know that stupid people exist everywhere and that there will be many Americans who plant the seeds or just toss them out, where they can grow in the wild.

These seeds are going to grow COVID plants that emit the virus into the wind. They'll also be invasive and grow like wildfire, each new plant spreading the virus.
