But they recognize the technology and cash flow that comes from Taiwan. Multiply this shite show in Ukraine by 10 if you want to know how bad it would get.
That does not mean that Europe or the US would react as they are now. The Europeans will simply cozy up to China after a few weeks of hand wringing.

China invading Taiwan has been my biggest fear on something that could happen in the immediate future.

Agreed: they’ll act worse. Again, war would very actively be considered over Taiwan.

Not when they’re not getting those semiconductors and chips for two years watching the worldwide economy collapse. You don’t understand how big a deal that island in the South China Sea is.

How are they going to do that during the middle of an invasion? It’s going to take months and probably well over a year to take over the country, and even then there will be guerrilla fighters in the mountains hidden in bunkers occasionally descending to frick with the Chinese military. Plus there’s a decent chance Taiwan will intentionally sabotage their infrastructure and factories just as a “frick you” to the CCP and a West that didn’t protect them.

Yeah well…China doesn’t do anything out of the goodness of their own heart so I would hope the US is included in these “peace talks”. Wouldn’t trust the Chinamen not to work some kind of sweet deal out of this. Remember, they made some type of deal with Putin like 2 weeks ago and had some military exercises with Russia last summer.

China owns farmland in Ukraine equivalent to the size of Connecticut.
They do not want a drawn out war. Russia will get Crimea and the breakaway provences. Ukraine agrees to not join nato. Chinese and Israeli peacekeepers in the Middle.
US weaker.

China is that bitch arse friend that eggs on and pushes up the fight and then disappears when Russia gets jumped after throwing a weak right cross...
That would make the US Ukraine's bitch arse friend.
If we're being honest.

Bottom line is Russia took too long.
China was a-ok letting it happen, but it had to finish up quick. Now China is forced to speak out against it. We’ll see if they do more than gladhand it

China's main goal in life is to avoid instability within their country. It gets violent if they don't. They are always walking a fine line.

Fun fact: Ukraine is a bigger trading partner with China than Russia is. China buys a lot of their grain.
Fun fact: China probably cannot handle a global downturn where people are not buying their crap.

They have at least one facility (of 3 in the world I believe) using chip manufacturing technology that we developed that China is at least a decade out from being able to match. The importance of that IP can’t be overstated and the facility (or key parts of it) are rigged to blow if China were ever to invade.

That’s rich coming from a country still leveraging slavery and forced organ donation as well as forced abortions.
Sad part is the dumb masses will eat this up.
