Was surprised the one by North Mall Drive in BR closed. Always seemed busy.

This isn’t the response I expected from the OT. I might have to give it a try, haven’t been to one in 15 years or so.

We used to go a decent amount back in my young adult years.

Texas Roadhouse is still but it’s always too crowded for me. $21 Ribeye is hard to beat.

They ruined the chicken crisper recipe, not as good as it was 10 years ago - new recipe sucks

This is wild topic to see. On a whim, we had Chilis last night. First time in maybe 6-8 years at least.

Had chicken crisper and ribs combo. They absolute screwed up the old chicken strip recipe with the breading, but it was still fine with the sauce. And the ribs were really good actually. It’ll probably be 6-8 weeks (not years) till next order.

Surprised reading all the comments in this thread, and Chilis seems to overall be getting a fair shake.

Chili’s trimmed down the menu

This seems smart to me.

Be known for a few things.

Arby’s menu has gotten silly.
So much drift.

I quit going to Chili's when they removed the chicken fried steak and caliente fish.

From the eighties to the 2010s, free market absolutists would claim PE deals made the economy more efficient by breaking up underperforming companies and putting the assets to better use. Criticizing private equity was socialistic.

It's weird how a lot of the rhetoric you used to hear from the Left is now coming from the Right.

60 years and Arby’s somehow still can’t get their roast beef right…I’m sure their Gyros, Chicken Parm, Fajitas and other random bullshite is all top notch though

Roy Rogers > Arby’s and it’s not even close tbh

Is this a joke? Who the frick considers Olive Garden and Texas Roadhouse “flashy”?

The youngster who wrote that article and considers those places to be “flashy” also mentioned Chili’s as being a “purveyor of greasy American staples”.

Dude is probably vegan and thinks he’s allergic to gluten.

There was a solid run from like 2018 - 2022 in which any time you’d visit a Chilli’s only the bartender and manager were waiting tables. I’m glad to see they turned it around, as my family used to hit up Chilli’s on Siegen like 2-3 times a week. I fondly remember watching Malice at the Palace go down from that bar.

We are trash.

How often do you visit a Chili’s?

More than you would think. There's one near to the gym I work out at and occasionally I'm in the mood for a steak dinner from there. The cooks typically do a good job with it.

My go to Restraunt on out of town trips to random small towns. I’ve had too many sketchy meals from the local mom n pop places. Chilis is reliable and consistent. And they have a bar.

Before smartphones made it easy to find restaurant options, Chili’s was a reliable pit stop when traveling. Always thought the menu was solid. But I haven’t been to one in many years
