I don't think my question was answered.

Do you cut back in front of someone when traffic gets moving?

I would add - including safely & legally establishing themselves into their own spot in lane between other vehicles without cutting anyone off or being in same lane along side of another moving vehicle that already was already established in that lane.

Well, one is a number, I guess

The only thing is I wish they wouldn't go around semis on the right like that - it's tough to see anything down that side of the truck. Had a lane splitter stop next to my passenger side steer tires a few years ago and did not see him at all, just a little part of his helmet was visible.

Bet he is also the self appointed speed monitor on the interstate and drives 70mph in the fast lane because that's the speed limit.

Nah, he’s probably the guy doing 78 in the left lane, but doesn’t speed up when trapping someone in behind a slower vehicle in the right lane.

These last answers seals it.

You are truly a legend in your own mind. ... Not so much in mine though. Good afternoon.

No because its a fact it is dangerous

One time in traffic on the MRB, the traffic came to a stand still and some jackass on a motorcycle got into the "motorcycle lane" and the traffic in the left lane (This was going east) was being directed to go around a vehicle that was involved in a wreck (it looked like they couldn't move the car and was waiting for a tow truck).

I don't know if the motorcycle driver didn't see the vehicles being directed to get in the right lane (at which point they were either going i-110 or i-10) but an 18 wheeler was starting to get over to where the center lane traffic was stopped to allow the left lane to get into and he had to hurry up and hit his breaks, but he was absolutely pissed off. And from what we could tell, the police was waving one vehicle after another and wasn't letting him go through. When the left lane traffic was stopped in order to wave the right and center lane traffic through he couldn't go anywhere. He was trying to get in the center lane and no one was letting him in. He was throwing his hands up and being all animated, but if the truck would have pulled to the right a few seconds earlier the bike would have hit it.

Whether they should be is one thing, but I don't think a lot of drivers are looking for motorcycles and if you have to get into the "motorcycle lane" how many people will look to see if a motorcycle is coming? You are thinking cars in in each lane, not someone on a bike driving between the cars.

Not too worry. An experienced rider knows to look at that tire when approaching.

im not really sure its more efficient (except for the lane splitter). its just rearranging the order of traffic. its probably less efficient for everyone else displaced -1 in line

I hate those lane splitting douche baggers... running all up close to my shite with their raggedy arse motor toys. But I am not going to swerve and shite to spite them.

Not when I'm looking at the car that's nice enough to let me in front of him and I'm surrounded by nothing else but cars and trucks that basically are in standstill traffic. And guess what, you don't either.

All you have been presenting is situations where the bike rider did something unsafe. It is expected that the rider be aware of what is going on and act accordingly.

If traffic was moving then rider clearly shouldn't have been passing.

This has nothing to do with a line of traffic completely stopped.

I dont see how being -1 in line does anything for MPG... if anything more gas is consumed idling for a bit longer due to decrease in overall efficiency caused by lane splitters.

keep your argument to bc its legal (if thats even the case), leave the nonsense behind. there is nothing more efficient about rearranging traffic. if anything it just adds to the complexity of the line and increased chance for accidents/problems which would decrease efficiency.

admit its just entitlement and dont lie about it being efficient for anyone but lane splitters.
