Probably. People aren’t smart. Some people think this is a real story.

Besides being morally corrupt enough to do this, there’s zero chance they’d get away with it.

No worries, the NYC DA will indict Trump for this and CNN will blast it 24/7, then the Fed will cover the funds because the bank is racist for trying to recover them, and finally the Democrats will sue Chase Bank for not implementing this process in all blue cities and the riots will commence.

The type of folks taking advantage of this aren't going to be capable of paying the money back. Chase is going to lose a good chunk of change here.

It reminds me of when Louisiana fricked up and had wide open EBT cards for about 24 hours. Word got out, and all of the Wal-Marks throughout the state had folks lining up as many shopping baskets as they could with lobsters, Lays, and orange sodas.

Good luck to the idiots scamming ever getting another bank account. They will be flagged by the Federal Reserve and black listed thus preventing gubment cheese from reaching them. There is no “Right to Bank Accounts”.

You aren't wrong . I'm sure the media outlets will add this to the long list of things the evil Maga republicans have done . I mean everything wrong with the dem cities seems to be trumps fault.

Funny how this segment of society can get the word out that there seems to be some type of glitch that can get something requiring no work is illegal and they come out like roaches but post anything about actually earning a living working and que the crickets.

Reminds me of this incident in Atlanta in 2019:
LINK

The people that did it will be flagged because their fingerprints are all over it. The smarter move would have been to stalk people from the line and rob them. It’s all illegal after all.

The house never loses.

10 years ago this would have been an article found exclusively in The Onion.

One time I checked my bank account and I had over a million dollars in it. My devil on my shoulder told me to go pull out as much as I could then close the account. But my good conscience told me they would find out and get it back so I didn't touch it and the next day it was gone.

They will eat the loss. These people will close their accounts and maybe Chase will send them to collections, but the majority of it will never be paid back.

Well a bunch of them will probably end up with felony wire fraud charges because they intentionally wrote bad checks to deposit and withdraw cash.
