seriously, seriously doubt it, i would imagine he was far far away from anything going on there. as much as he clowns, he is equally as professional with his business etc. i think the only reason we ever went there was just because of the faux pas festivities going on, seemed more like a once a year type thing imo. most of the dudes that i know down there are all of the opinion stay far, far away from the den lounge

Same, most natives don't even go in there.

Prestige Oyster Co is out of Texas...they own more than 20,000 acres of oyster leases along the Texas and La Coast.
Johnny Halili is from Albania....I know for a fact he has guys that stay out on boats and patrol his oyster beds and his guys DGAF...if you are a commercial boat or charter captain they will run your arse off and do whatever they have to do to make sure you never come across their beds again.
They literally live and sleep out there, 24/7

They can't get PPSO to do anything on the lower end, I dont see how federal agencies would get involved in a bar fight at the den. Sounds like some solid DTR gossip.

My son is in college now and making the regular fishing/drinking weekends with his buddies and without me. I've been preparing him for this time of his life for years by telling him do not interact with the local commercial fishers/crabbers/shrimpers/oyster guys other than a wave and a nod. Most are hard workers and hard fighters, and what you might think is just being friendly, he might take it wrong and you are f'd.

True, but if you buy them a beer or a drink, they turn out not to be so bad......don't f with their oyster beds or traps.....that is unnecessary trouble.

Completely false
Are you one of those people that cry about ‘up the road’ getting everything??
frick, y’all had a councilman crying on Facebook a month or so ago trying to get people down the road to spray round up all over the neutral grounds in Belle Chasse

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if one of them was running an illegal side gig and someone caught wind of it or some something, beers were had, jokes were said, and one side didn't realize how serious the other side was.
You have a major water way with a bunch of guys that spend a lot of time offshore. Wouldn't be the first time drugs were run or something of that nature through there.

No oyster fisherman were involved. Charter baws had beef with some local baws, fight breaks out charter baw hits one of the locals baws brother with a pool stick. Then local big brother takes up knocking out charter captains as his new hobby. Happened at the den about three weeks ago..
Bill Butler (owns Venice marina) son was involved
