There was mass chaos after and it's in an area with lots of people and buildings. I can see this being a puzzle but I have to imagine it gets solved eventually.

The shooter is probably on camera, but isolating him/her is doing to take time to sort through.

Any vehicle within a large area around that campus is going to have its license plate read. That's going to take time to sort through, too.

it’s wild it’s taking this long to nail down a suspect. they’ve released 2 suspects already if I’m not mistaken
exactly, if the scumbag was indeed 200 yards away, In 2025 on a college campus it should be cut and dry.

Camera's have to be all over the place.

Adjust to your liking.

The reality is that the modern right is not particularly out of step with ideological norms of the West/America since founding. Nonetheless, there is an incessant drumbeat on the left that borders, deportations, inconveniencing abortion, objecting to gender radicalism, etc. are somehow fringe positions.

The left quite literally threw boulders at police cars while waving foreign flags because US law enforcement had the audacity to enforce US law.

What nuance would you like to add?

I am intimately familiar with a much larger Universities Camera system, in a major city and can assure you there are plenty of places with little to no camera coverage. University police departments and IT departments don’t, in general, do a good job in this area. They underestimate the complexity and maintenance required. Often not dedicating the staff needed to maintain and ensure such systems are robust enough for what you seem to assume exists.

It is likely the rooftops have zero camera coverage.

I hardly knew who this guy was but social media is pushing me vids of him interacting with his young kids. Tough to see and know how they won't ever truly know their dad.

Hope the person responsible gets a speedy death penalty.

Where does martial law, expanding executive powers, imprisonment without trial, unchecked citizen spying, etc fit into those norms? Furthermore, were those "original ideological norms" all good?

This is a very good point. It's why the JFK assassination was so big, as so many people got to witness it. Now we're inundated with this stuff when even 15 years ago we wouldn't hear most of it (the Kirk assassination sure, but not the other stories spread to rile people like the Charlotte stabbing)

We are working backwards now lol.

Back in the day something happened, the slow bleed spread of the news gave people some time.

Now it’s rapid fire where half of its bullshite thus inciting emotions (from what I’ve seen at an incredible rate) that are a bit extreme. I’m guilty of this as well. But after speaking with the pops he got me to my senses.

We don’t know all the details yet either.

That said, I’m a fan of free speech blah blah. Charlie knew his words were causing some bad emotions. He knew that. Why would you ever go out in public in front of the crowd with the minds that are mostly being tossed around everywhere in this environment with no security? Or at least some glass in front of him when he spoke? I feel like i myself would’ve been armed etc. doing that line of work at this point.

Surely he knew the president of the United States was almost shot. I just can’t believe he was that sure of himself he didn’t take further precaution.

That’s just me.
