I don’t know any more than anyone else. In fact, I was driving all day listening to a podcast and didn’t even know about this story until late this afternoon. But one thing I have heard is that security at this event was very sparse. I’ve heard Charlie had his own private security, probably right around the tent where he was located if I had to guess, but as far a police presence, I think the number I’ve heard is something like six or seven officers on hand at the event.

Someone should tell the Middle East because they pray like a motherfricker, repel enemies like a motherfricker, and I've seen a lot of their civilizations collapse.

Very likely, unless there are taller buildings around with cameras catching campus that might also catch this roof.

There should be cameras catching anyone entering/exiting the building though. Ingress/egress points are no-brainer camera locations.

That said, I’m a fan of free speech blah blah. Charlie knew his words were causing some bad emotions. He knew that. Why would you ever go out in public in front of the crowd with the minds that are mostly being tossed around everywhere in this environment with no security? Or at least some glass in front of him when he spoke? I feel like i myself would’ve been armed etc. doing that line of work at this point.

Surely he knew the president of the United States was almost shot. I just can’t believe he was that sure of himself he didn’t take further precaution.

That’s just me.

My gut reaction is to think it is all based in his sincere belief as a Christian, both from the "time on the Earth is temporary and Heaven is forever" angle and that he didn't see himself as a big deal the way others did, which, if true, makes me respect him even more. That would be a very rare trait for someone in his position (especially with the prior generation like Milo and Ben Shapiro who did make everything about them).

You'll have to be more specific, especially if you want to attribute these things to the right exclusively. Regardless, these aren't the things that have people on the left chunking rocks at cop cars or shooting up congressional baseball games or making death threats on twitter.

Universities are not prisons or secure facilities like military installations. They generally cover entryways, exits, large gathering places, valuables, secure areas (records/accounting/data centers etc), streets, lobbies. At any time probably 5% of cameras are non functional for some reason. Roofs are also accessible many times because maintenance people are not the most conscious and security doesn’t have time to check all doors very often.

The level of funding needed to truly cover everywhere gets astronomical.

So you’re admitting you’re a coward for one.

Secondly you admit there’s a radical side to this nation where someone like Charlie can’t openly have a discussion without being murdered in front of everyone.

Certainly don't want to do that. That was kind of my point in my original post about "leftists being out of control and inciting violence". Clinton, Obama, and the others have proliferated right wing extra judicial killing and austerity almost as much as the Republicans. There is no left progressive wing in this country with any purchase whatsoever.

I.E. You can't debate insane leftists. If you are a leftist, you are likely already insane.

Yes, while I’m livid at the Israeli hawks wanting to invade Iran and defending Epstein, Matt is completely right. The entire Right as well as the libertarians and the moderates need to unite, as well as hold out a loving hand to sane liberals and Democrats.

He's right for sure. Ignore the biggest hit in US history to the deficit with the BBB, ignore the complete subservience to Israel, ignore more damning Epstein evidence.
