The gold standard, Unfiltered with Kiran, ran a story about it on her social media yesterday.

A less credible, but highly visible WBRZ, just also ran in it and interviewed the Sheriff in Pointe Coupee at 5pm.

No clue what WAFB has done. They signed their own death certificate when they choose to stand with SWB. No one watches that network. No one.

Weird how the Baton Rouge news landscape has changed.

I know The Advocate circulation is way down. Which makes sense because they suck.

WAFB used to be the better of the two major news stations. But it looks like that's switched to WBRZ. The NBC affiliate in Baton Rouge was always there but never as popular as the CBS (WAFB) or ABC (WBRZ) stations.

IIRC, they used to own two military surplus Huey's that were reworked. One was for parts. The other was for law enforcement.

I'm pretty sure they had two that were operational when Torres became sheriff. Not sure what happened to them though. I seem to recall Smith had one on loan to a neighboring parish that paid for the pilot and maintenance. When Torres ran for sheriff he ran largely on his predecessor's waste and the choppers were part of that even though they aren't very costly to maintain. My memory could be off, but I just remember that from the campaign around 2007.

except you STILL haven't emailed DiamondDog,
you don't have to imagine it , make it happen

it's more likely your hands were shaking in fear that you'd actually have to show one day at Sonic

Charges are possible? Dude hit 3 kids and two had to be airlifted. He fled the scene and was found at his house in Lafayette 3 hrs later.. Why are charges "possible"?

The only thing I can think of is maybe the boat towing the kids didn't have the proper flags and such up, but yeah leaving the scene is not a good look and should probably leave to a charge.

We’ve been waiting for the media to pick this up. That’s because False River needs some exposure on boat safety and courtesy. Again, I’ve never seen it like this before. Most of the people on the river this summer are assholes. It’s been a shite show…

I've only been on false river a few times, one time was on a 4th of July and it was uncomfortable crowded.

The other few times was late winter, early spring which wasn't that busy at all. To be honest, I am surprised more accidents doesn't happen during the summer.

A lot of people with little experience driving a boat, while drinking just isn't a good mix.

Meet up at Sonic on O'Neal.

i picked a halfway point and offered to pay $500 to transport it

Diamond Dog graciously offered to organize the event. So chris and I don't have to go at one another for everyone to endure

I have contacted him, I only have two requests

chris must be driven since he cant be trusted (ban bet)and I would feel obligated to still pay its driver something for their troubles. Plus I don't want to waste my time or my drivers

and I would like a weeks notice, so I can arrange my ride and move any impacted appointments

DD mentioned he's off Fridays, so any Friday at noon works
or a Saturday , but lets do it before football starts

I'll sign whatever waiver he scrawls out in crayon

I am surprised also that this was not on KLAF and WAFB TV.
Fox/NBC TV news in Baton Rouge is the poor people news.
Every once in a blue moon I catch that station if I am flipping through channels and TV apps.

As far as False River there is no way I would be in a boat on that oxbow on a major holiday weekends during the summer.
