If the officer walked over and kicked him and/or stood on him, charge him with assault, not fricking murder.

Have you seen the video(s)? The cop shot him in the back. That isn't right. He had no justifiable reason to. The man was calm and non-combative for over 40 minutes. It wasn't until the cop went to put cuffs on him (without telling him he was under arrest) that the man freaked out and ran. Still no reason to shoot him in the back and then kick the man once he was shot. The cops got this one wrong.

That just means he will repeat what happened. The crazies are spinning this like he is flipping on the guy some way.
Hey, man. I’ve seen a lot of mafia movies. “Turning state’s witness” always means flipping on someone in my experience. I’m no lawyer.

You missed the part where he punched the officer in the face, stole his taser, ran, turned around and shot the taser at the officers.
But let’s not let the facts of the case get in the way.

Um the man freaked out and fought the officers.
I remember when body cams came out, everyone was happy because video is indisputable. Clearly, even video evidence isn't enough these days.

This is an incomplete account, to say the least. He did not just "freak out" and "run." He fought with the officer, took the officer's weapon, ran, and then fired the weapon at the officer.

The man freaked out, resisted arrest, assaulted the cops, stole a taser from a cop, and fired the taser at the cop.

He was paroled from COVID and was in jail for beating his children, among other things.
Honestly did not even know that.
Is this actually true though?

If u don’t want to be arrested just punch a cop and fire his own weapon at him. The new norm in this country now. The cop didn’t go looking to kill someone he was called to Wendy’s cause the guy was drunk and passed out in the drive thru. Too many soy boys these days. Unbelievable

We're in a reality where the only thing that matters is skin color. That's it. The amount of melanin produced in your body creating pigmentation of your skin cells is the sole deciding factor of your innocence or guilt in cases such as these.

Is a taser considered a deadly weapon when used on police? Could be a deciding factor. I agree this seemed like a legal shoot by the police, but let's say Brooks grabbed a baton and threw it at the police. That's not grounds for a legal shooting right? Certain a gun would be. So my question is where is the line drawn currently
Agreed, I saw a video spreading on FB where people were using to show "cops are racist to black people, but would never shoot a white person". In the video, a white guy was fighting the cops, withstood their taser, stole the baton, and start beating them with it before running into their vehicle and driving away.
I wanted to share it here because I wondered if the cops would be legally allowed to fire their weapon during that exchange. Technically, he never went for the weapon, but to me it seem like the second you steal a cops weapon, you are a full-on threat.
And for him to get into a vehicle while more than likely not sober is dangerous to every other driver on the road. But again, I don't know if the cops would be legally allowed to shoot to not allow him to get into the driver seat.

I saw where Brooks pointed a taser at the cop.

The same DA charged son APD cops with assault with a deadly weapon when they used them on rioters. He wants to have it both ways now by saying a taser isn't a deadly weapon.
Agreed, I posted a video couple days ago where it might have been the DA possibly where the guy was saying cops were fired for firing their taser, which is considered a lethal weapon per Georgia law.

Man, that's insane. I can easily see the MN cop leaning on the guy's neck. That was terrible.
But Brooks fought, broke free, grabbed the cop's taser, SHOT the taser at him. What the hell is the cop supposed to do at that point?
Ain't no sense nowhere.
