You also pay more for groceries because of the false demand created by SNAP purchases. Same goes for restaurants (fast food and otherwise) because SNAP sales are not affected when the prices go up.

The problem I have is that most of these benefits are supposed to be temporary.

But if you don’t improve your lot in life. You will always need benefits.
