Change My Mind: DST should End in Early October Than November

Anyone here not liking the late sunrise in the morning this time of year. Plus if DST were implemented year round it would be worse in December with the sun not rising until almost 8 am in South Louisiana. Of course in northern areas and western parts of the central time zone sunrise would come at almost 9 am in December if year round DST were implemented.

You're going to get a lot of down votes but I'm with you.

We're at the point of the year where we don't have meaningful daylight after work anyway.

DST year round. Who cares about the sun rising early? Wasted sunlight hours that normal people don't use.

Why should I care about that?
I understand the argument that you don’t want kids sitting at the bus stop in darkness.
You just seem to have a mild preference related to your feelings.

Standard time year round. DST year round has been tried before. I think it lasted 5 or 6 months. People went nuts.
I don’t hear anyone proposing a compromise. Change it by 30 minutes. Give each side some of what they want.

Getting rid of defenses/special teams midway through the season would be something.

My personal opinion is that we should have as much daylight as possible, every day. So, I'm for DST all year.
There will be plenty darkness/night and time to rest when we are dead, so for now, I'll take the light...

DST doesn't give you more daylight.

Everyone
That's why it always fails when we try it
People not living in that scenario just severely discount the impact late sun rises have on us. It's the strangest cognitive dissonance

I've accepted it will never change.

Of course it doesn't, but by the clock it makes it more useable(stores, working outside, etc)

Changing the clock doesn’t alter the amount of sunlight each day. This is a stupid argument.

I have always been an advocate of alternating days of the week... Monday we use DST, Tue back to standard, and on and on. Everyone gets some satisfaction.

DST should end the weekend before Halloween. What kid wants to trick or treat when the sun's out?

Just remove a couple of hours from the night and add them to the day. One at daybreak and one at dusk
Problem
Solved.
