Ya but if the intruder had a piece and shot the tank, which would have to be big to power a chainsaw, the explosion and shrapnel would tear you to pieces.
Yeah but you'd look cool right before he shot you.

I keep a stihl MS391 under my bed and a stihl MS180 on the old ladies side.

Get a dirty apron and a mask made from a human face to go with the chainsaw. The only thing you'd have to worry about is cleaning up the shite splatters on the floor left by the fleeing intruder.

Chain saw is one of the top 2 weapons you can have at your disposal.
You're gonna want a good shotgun in the other hand though
And as the poster above said, you can find both in the hunting and outdoors section of your local S-Mart

Problem is getting the chainsaw to crank up on cue. If the intruder hears wur... wur... wur... "God damn it!" wur...
It doesn't even have to be on, just give one pump/pull of the unmistakable starting cord while the intruder is on the front porch, and he'll shite himself.

You'd lose to any determined attacker with a baseball bat every time, and probably hurt yourself with the chainsaw in the process.
