What’s the deal with this neighborhood? I have to drive through here for work on a daily basis.

It looks like a tornado hit it.

it is the ghetto.

There is a culture that moves into area and completely destroys the real estate....... And this has nothing to do with the color of their skin.

Same thing as what has happened in Allendale, Moretown, Hollywood, and of course MLK. Culture, so much culture.

Yep. Queensborough and Allendale make Cedar Grove look like a nice place to live.

Where you been? It’s been like that since at least the mid 80’s. Ever heard of the Cedar Grove Riots? It made national news.

ETA- The crazy thing is South Highland is a few miles up Line Ave and one of the nicer neighborhoods in Shreveport.

The area went down hill in the 80's when the economy crashed.

The Jews moved into the neighborhood and it was never the same after that.

Shreveport is one of the most intertwined communities I've ever seen. Just starting at the South end of Line Av./Ellerbe and going North on Line/Gilbert/Fairfield parallel streets it goes...

Southern Trace (Nice)-->Cedar Grove (Bad)-->South Highlands (Nice)-->Highlands (Bad)--> Fairfield Area (Nice)---Stoner Hill (Bad)

Lots of nice area car door handles getting checked by lots of bad area dwellers.
