That is an excellent place to eat!
Nicknamed that place Mayonnaise Express. There's a nice litte deli on Kings near Youree, much better and cheaper.

Cedar Grove use to be a pretty good place. I grew up in Sunset Acres and we played pool in the second story of one of the building there on main street. Also, CG was the last place I remember racing my dad (running) before he lost his leg. Dated a girl with last name of Christian and one Kilgore from there. Nice girls. Became friends with a lot of cedar grove guys.

What’s the deal with this neighborhood? I have to drive through here for work on a daily basis.
It looks like a tornado hit it.

The main street I think doesn't exist anymore, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Used to be an area that looked like a small town..stores lined up on both sides of the road, sidebyside.

Basically west of line Avenue starting at east 70th. 70th is kinda the main drag. West of 49 up to Hollywood too. Down south to close to the inner loop.

I-49 tore out what was once the downtown of Cedar Grove. I remember the Corner Drug Store. They had a soda fountain.

It will take a lot of work to do any good, I'm not sure anyone can do it if they wanted to. Very sad and I'm not a native but can see how nice it used to be. Lots of folks don't have to do shite to live and that is a problem here and across the country.
Finally, some good Shreceport news. Hows the new mayor look?

ETA- The crazy thing is South Highland is a few miles up Line Ave and one of the nicer neighborhoods in Shreveport.
That's not crazy. Ever been to New Orleans?

The first twenty or so blocks of St. Charles Ave are a good example. Go four blocks north and you're in a war-zone.

You're new to town, right??
BTW, I'd find a different route to work.
