Cool
1200 people total have gotten myocarditis out of 300,000,000
That’s a rate of 12.6 out of 1 million
The general population is 14 out of 100,000
So overall the covid vaccine helps prevent myocarditis

Obviously you can't possibly believe that it reduces myocarditis by a factor of 10, so you're unknowingly admitting that your statistics are misleading.

You are still arguing against the linked statistics by lumping the entire population into your argument and ignoring this is for those under 25.
You are flat out ignoring the stats and topic at hand published by the CDC.

I don't have any reason to dispute your numbers but do the benefits of a young person or kid getting the vaccine outweigh the risks? My argument is that we don't really know yet. But we do know that they have an extremely low risk from Covid. I'm not planning on getting my 14 yr old vaccinated.
In summer of 2020, I argued agaisnt covidians on their myocarditis fear porn
The one thing young people do experience very rarely with covid is myocarditis, because their body puts forth an inflammatory response
Vaccines, all vaccines, cause inflammatory responses. Extremely rarely, like here, that can lead to myocarditis
Both covid myocarditis and vaccine myocarditis should be looked at, but the numbers don’t come close to supporting the fear porn both sides tried/are trying to produce

Myocarditis in general population is .015%
Rate of myocarditis in vaccinated population is .000004%
So now you’re a stats guy.
99.6%

Trust the long term outcome studies.

I'm thankful to get my news from TD.

Or....I don't understand why we are pushing young healthy people to get it when the risk vs reward doesn't make sense considering they have virtually zero chance of dying from Covid.

Population
And it appears as a whole covid vaccines greatly reduce your risk of myocarditis if you wish to use data that way

My take is that if you want the vaccine get it. But you shouldn't care if others decline because you are already protected, unless you don't believe it works.
Everyone in the country has access to it now so if you don't want to take it you are making the decision that you'd rather the risk of getting Covid.

But that's not what the stats linked by the CDC show for those under 25. That's the entire premise of the thread. Not sure why you are arguing for the entire population when that is not at all what I linked or even posted. You are ignoring the OP completely.

But you JUST said that vaccines lead to inflammation which can lead to myocarditis.
You're being disingenuous in your crusade to get everyone vaccinated.

It seems to me that all of the risks are very low. People can’t be arguing that the risk of getting Covid is super low and the death rate is super low and that’s why we shouldn’t get the vaccine then also argue that.000004% is too high of a risk.
I understand your point that we still don’t fully know the risks of getting the vaccine and I do agree with your choice of weighing those risks and choosing not to vaccinate your child.
