They absolutely sold it as a preventative. Many would never have gotten it otherwise. I found out afterwards it was wasted, and had to have an experimental drug to supplement it.

We did an extended family trip a couple weeks ago. Nine of us on the trip, all vaccinated, but only 3 were boosted (including my parents in their 70's).
The three who were boosted came down with COVID. The other six were negative, myself included.

There was never a shortage of beds. There were complaints and threats of bed shortages but never actual shortages. In fact NYC, the worse COVID infection area in the nation had a empty ship hospital with 1000s of beds provided by the federal government that went unused.

Glad to see the Covidians are still toting the “no one ever claimed…” bullshite. I guess memory loss is a side effect of their precious vaccines as well.

The dumbass mutt fan just kept digging his hole when he was presented multiple quotes from multiple sources that many Americans take policy advice from. Fauci, head of the CDC, THE frickING PRESIDENT...and he just claims they're cherry-picked quotes and don't represent what was really said.

I got the standard 2-dose back in May 2021 and refuse to boost. I just got the rona on Wednesday and honestly, I'm more annoyed than sick.

So they lied about it preventing contraction of covid and changed the story. Now you're admitting that the vax doesn't even reduce symptoms for some people.
I know plenty who aren't vax'd who also never needed a bed. You're here blaming unvaccinated for hogging beds that vaccinated people needed...wtf dude. Maybe you should just blame weak, obeast, unhealthy people.
Let's take the blame game a step further. If the vaccinated folks that still needed beds, likely because they were obeast and unhealthy to begin with, would have made better life choices...more people could have gotten non-covid related procedures/surgeries, but instead, some died.

All of the "science followers" circa the first quarter of 2021 were claiming exactly that. Frequently and strenuously so.
I've yet to see the evidence that the vax makes much difference in hospitalization rates despite the constant claims. When they actually throw out percentages, it is usually a only tiny bit more on the unvaxed side, like 53% unvaxxed vs 47% vaxed.
