I've been saying for years...If there's one animal that is adapting to take over the world, it's Raccoons.

Our town pool was shut down for this very thing.

Raccoons spread a very bad parasite that is deadly to humans: Baylisascaris procyonis. The parasite will not die from chlorine. The only way the parasite can be removed from your pool is by filtration. If a raccoon shits in your pool its best to, remove the shite, shock it for other microorganisms and filter for at least a week. After filtering replace your filters or replace the sand if you have a sand filter by bagging. Use aseptic technique.
Raccoon shite on surfaces needs to be removed aseptically and burned with fire after removing the crap. If you can't burn the surface with fire pour boiling water were the raccoon crap once laid.

That’s pretty scary we have raccoons almost every night. They often sleep on our outdoor furniture.

Damned raccoons come by and finishes off the cat food every night.
It will just sit there, looking straight at you through the window, and slowly eat the food piece by piece.
