We were supposed to fly out tomorrow. As of now flights still showing good to go, but wife and I aren’t messing around with that. Trying to cancel resort…anyone have any luck or advice for how to extract a cancellation for situations like this? They’ve already taken ~33% of the total booking price.

Tell them if they give you your money back you’ll send them a cookie bouquet. People love cookie bouquets.

Just tell the resort they can either refund your money or deal with Delta Force.

Call the resort and ask for safety guarantees.

If they can't provide any, then ask them for a refund.

If they can't, then call your credit card company and reject payment because a place selling domicile can't ensure safe sleeping. Breech of contractual duty.

Yeah at first and then when every member of the new five is dead or in prison eventually new ones stop popping up because no human wants to die.

We are convinced we can’t fix this problem because our own government has helped prop up these cartels

Why? How?

Is the Mexican economy so bad that evil serial killer levels a cruelty while selling drugs is a better option than getting a normal job?

If that’s the environment the Mexican government has established for its people, they need to be destroyed. We shouldn’t allow that on our border.

I've gone down to Mazatlan several times(yes I know Sinaloa).

We would go down to bass fish on Lake El Salto, Picachos, and Commedero.

Haven't been in a few years with all the chaos up and around Culiacan.

Had a friend that was down there fishing on Picachos a few weeks ago, and they said they were hearing gunshots all day while they were out fishing.

Mexico is such a shite hole. Could be so much better if they'd take care of this shite once and for all.

Yes? It definitely pays better.

As long as there's massive demand for drugs in the US and Canada and elsewhere in the Caribbean/South America, cartels will form and exist. You can't just kill the new leaders over and over and over on foreign soil until they just give up and stop the very lucrative drug trafficking business.

Guys in this thread acting like it would be a piece of cake are highly uninformed or just not thinking it all the way through

I got a worker who lives in Los Mochis, he was supposed to be at the consulate in Hermosillo at 8am in the morning but all the highways are shut down to transportation he claims.

What can be done to stop it?

Legalize a few more drugs in the states? I’d be cool with anything that worked.
