Interesting they think number of cases and severity will drastically improve in the fall. Wonder where they are getting their information to make such a decision.
I have not heard that information. But, I imagine if they were to start back up in a couple of months and there was a surge of cases, the amount of money to shut back down again would probably break their backs for good.

Should have sold my cruise stocks 3 weeks ago.
I own Disney stock. They have a whole cruise line. What do you think this means for their price in the medium, and long term?

Good riddance, these companies have hid their money offshores to avoid taxes from the US while simultaneously asking the gov for bailouts. They were already floating breeding ground for all sorts of viruses before the Shanghai Shivers was a thing and cause environmental disturbances where ever they go. Im glad the chickens have come home to roost for them.
Couldn't give a shite less about any of that. The wife and I enjoy cruising, had to cancel one we had booked for September. It will be awhile before we book another one.

I have a family cruise planned for December, and at this point I'm even starting to get nervous about that.

And I couldnt give less of a shite about you not being able to go on a cruise, maybe now you can take a real vacation.

I bought at $14.26 so I'm still good for now.
Their debt load isn't excessive and their operating costs are very low so they should survive. Tempting to wish I sold earlier and bough back in, but timing the market is a fool's errand.

Lol. Why do you care how I spend my vacation dollars, ya putz? We usually take two vacations a year. One's a cruise, the other a week or so wherever we feel like going. Last two trips were Rome and London/Wales. Get off your high horse.

Carnival needs to call it quits. Let the Navy sink their ships in the Gulf and make artificial reefs.
Posted on 6/22/20 at 1:34 pm to Nigel Farage
I thought Carnival was one of the few that was actually headquartered here but could be wrong

I think he means they aren’t flagged as US ships
Correct. None of them are US flagged for tax purposes. Gotta pay to play, so no help from the U.S.
