Well, kiss my arse. I didn't read the title close enough. Little Rock doesn't belong on the list.

The good thing about BR is that there has been constant improvements as of lately. Improvements being made slower than most would like, though. Once there is a new MS bridge and the inner city interstates are widened, traffic and the appearance of the interstates will improve drastically. Also, a toll loop is greatly needed. Other than that, BR has some pretty nice areas (Corporate Blvd. and areas surrounding it, the majority of Perkins Rd. stretch, Garden District, etc.). Nicholson is on the rise in regards to development and gentrification. The Water Campus and new LSU expansion along Nicholson will make that area a lot better in the future.

I always thought Richmond had that "older city that is past its prime and kinda run down" look. Havent spent enough time there to give a true judgement on it though. Would be interested on hearing someone elses experiences with it.

Sacramento is a huge dusty shithole as are most cities in the central valley.
You talk shite on the south and I won't disagree with you, but central California has a deep, deep bench of bad places to live.
Stockton, Modesto, Bakersfield, Fresno, Sacramento....HOOOOO BOY

Lansing is way worse than BR. Baton Rouge may have more ghetto, but Lansing is in Michigan. That alone is a huge negative.

Yes.

BR and Jackson don't even come close to how bad Montgomery is.
They are worse, actually.
The worst is easily Trenton, however. It's not just the worst state capital, it's easily one of the worst places in the US.

I forgot about Trenton, good call. Quite possibly one of the worst cities in the US

I was just in Fresno. I didn't think it was bad at all.
I know Sac is the cap. Just responding to the post.

They actually have some really good plans in place to address issues between College in EBR and LA415 in WBR. Just needs funding.
