Charbonnet is relatively pro-business for New Orleans.
Let’s not act like the choices in the last election were any good. I don’t get why this board acts like Latoya was running against FDR or Ronald Ragan and the city knowingly chose Latoya.
Latoya and Charbonnet were both terrible choices for numerous reasons, change the name and we are in the same spot the message would just be delivered differently.

they both sucked, but Charbonnet at least pretended to be Pro-Business, while Latoya went all in on a Social Justice platform.

Someone just showed me a video of the dumbass wiping her whole face with her face mask during the pres conference earlier.

I really hate to rain on Mayor Latoya da Destroya's position here but statistics say otherwise
"There are 27,286 cases in Louisiana and 6,380 in Orleans Parish[/img] as of 12 PM. That's an increase of 0.8% and 0.2% respectively since yesterday. Orleans Parish has reported fewer than 25 new cases in 4 of the last 5 days."

I know several business types that for whatever reason supported Latoya over Charbonnet.
The "whatever reason" is that they weren't fond of having to make shakedown payments to Bunny in order to get permits from City Hall.
Latoya may be stealing from the taxpayers (in the form of her credit card charges and not paying income taxes) but she's not stealing directly from the business community via shakedowns.

Rumor has it Helena is coming after her this next cycle.
Helena would wipe the floor with her. Hell, even Jason Williams could easily beat her.
The question is, will any of them actually run?
I wouldn't mind seeing Nguyen run, she has been pretty impressive, but I don't think the black vote will support an Asian over a black candidate.

I've been saying this for over a year. Glad to finally get some backup.

Don't kid yourself. She's doing what she can. Even, though, you may have a point that she's possibly not as sophisticated or efficient at it as her opponent.

New Orleans was in an absolute no win situation with those two in the runoff. If you think Charbonnet would be any better think again because like you said the cost of doing business under Desire would far out number the incompetence of Cantrell.

Latoya's MO is more of the "you need to contribute to my campaign or I'll say you are a racist, you racist" method.
Kinda like Ray Ray. The stuff he got busted on was relatively minor compared to other politicians. But he was too stupid to know how to hide it.
Remember, Destorya didn't get in trouble for not filing her taxes or lying on her taxes. She filed, what people say are correct returns. Her and her husband just didn't pay. there is a difference. And the credit card stuff was things that were easy to prove they were personal, and relatively low in amount.

Holy shite. I replied to Latoya, and the bootlickers are coming out the woodwork.

The curve is flattened. This is no longer about not overwhelming hospitals, it is about people like Compton Cantrell holding onto their new found power over us. End the madness. Allow people to get back to their normal lives.
The responses:

When your kids are sick, do you encourage them to stop taking medicine at the 1st sign of improvement? Are you on a power trip when you’re making them rest & get healthy? No, you’re being the informed adult in the scenario. Try that stance now too.

lol ok sure let’s do it

Really? What is she gaining in power over us? End the Madness? Have you heard of this thing that people are dying from...

It must be sad and draining to see the world as you do. It makes zero sense for her motive to be “holding on to power” when clearly it’s costing her the city’s budget and her popularity.

Stupid. Go inject disinfectant to prove you have the freedom to do so, as per your Presidents suggestion.
