I agree with you there.
The major difference is the Government isn't sanctioning any of this violence. They simply voted for equitable redistribution.
I had a good friend have to leave his position at the LSU Vet School to return to Zimbabwe for this very thing when his country went through it. His family's farmland was being redistributed. They(most land owners in Zimbabwe) were compensated for the reclaimed land.

Also I posted an article awhile back, but Capetown is predicted to run out of water by April.

It sounds like the government needs to intervene with the violence going on

Valid point if it's a link I posted. I just didn't want to post a totally biased african history link. The BBC is at least a news network.

Let the Black Africans displaced by the Natives Land Act in 1913 open up tax-free casinos on some redistributed land.
Make them international destination resorts. Money/Tourists would come flocking in to resolve some famine and poverty woes, and the White African Landowners could still make a living on "their" farmlands.
Where have we seen this done before?

I never planned on going to Africa. I'm not planning to go to Africa. I will never plan to go to Africa.
I've almost written Europe, Asia, Central/South America off the list. I'm down to North America and Australia at this point.
(Is Hawaii "Asia"?)

I don't think there's going to be anymore of these. I bet they are getting out with the quickness and heading to Australia or somewhere similar.

I'm sure South Africa will prosper once they run all the white people out of dodge.

South Africa would be Somolia without European intervention.

No, just No Mike
Their might been initial compensation for the land in Zimbabwe, but there sure as frick isn’t any in South Africa. And once the black Africans couldn't maintain or succeed with the farmland. Zimbabwe begged the original owners to return. Not to mention in the mean time....the Zimbabwe economy was demolished. So much so you can still go over to eBay and pick up a fat stack of Zimbabwe currency for shipping cost only. It's useless. It was used as kindling and hair ties by the locals. They eventually adapted to USD.
Also, it’s not like these are isolated incidents. It's thousands. Hundreds per year. If you are white and haven’t been forced into a tent camp already or gotten the frick out. You basically live behind concrete walls, barbwire, electric fences, and pay a private security firm to protect your arse from the black Africans roaming the streets waiting to kidnap or kill you in broad day light.
But yeah, that’s all totally justified because of a British law put in place centuries ago to allow farmers to own and farm unused land to give South Africa a chance at not being a dirt hut country...
keep trying.

No doubt. But again, that's how it was BEFORE Apartheid ended.
Cry Freedom is a good movie. I forgot Denzel Plays Biko.

In short: white, working-class, farmer genocide. People who have owned farms for generations are being terrorized, raped, murdered, or thrown into concentration camps.
Quickly on their way to being Zimbabwe.
At least they have plenty of water. Oh wait...

SA is a shite hole
When World Cup was there, they had to put some of teams in Mansions outside the city, with Armed guards at gates, on roofs, etc.
Carjacking is so bad, they tell you to ride with someone and pack heat.
