You cannot. This is true. However, you don't make it easier for them to end their own lives by having it provided for by the government.

A couple other people have mentioned dogs, and while I would never compare a canine life to a human life- I do think it’s an absolute national disgrace that we put dogs down to alleviate suffering, yet we don’t have an across the board option for human freaking beings to do the same thing, if they are suffering or miserable- not based on on how society defines suffering, but how the individual defines it .

But I guess we can’t have that humane option because….. “god.”

Universal healthcare…. cheaper to have assisted suicide than to pay for medical treatment.

Canada has been declining medical treatment for the elderly for years in an attempt to expedite their death.

Meemaw being forced to choke to death on her own phlehgm and not being giving the opftion of euthanasia so far seems to be the prevailing sentiment in the comments.

IDK

In Switzerland a company made a pod where they put you and pump it full of nitrogen gas to induce hypoxia.

That was considered inhumane, and several people were arrested.

Seems like CO2 would be a better option in that case so the people drift off peacefully and never wake up.

It is an open secret in our Healthcare system here, but we have this now, albeit only for terminal illness.

Canada is weak, and getting weaker. Muslims will be running the country in 30 years or less.

Their Healthcare is crap, which is why so many Canadians with means come here for serious issues.

All you need is a weak populace to run things.

See NYC as a perfect example.

I think that projection is a bit on the conservative side, I can't find anything newer than 2021 though.

Science fiction movies eventually become reality, Logan’s Run is at the plate. Maybe we can get A Clockwork Orange on deck and implement some real prison reform.

If I could die peacefully 6 months early and avoid 6 months of pain and significant expense? Sign me up.

But it should only be allowed if you have xx months to live. Not just because of a disease or mental illness.

I dont disagree with his facts, but having recently visited Canada, it is pretty evident what is occurring.

We should have agency over our own lives.

Even to end them.

Getting someone to assist in a humane way is reasonable. The libertarian in me is finding it hard to be outraged here.

This isn't the same is abortion. That's a different person. I'm pro life there.

I’ve probably been to Canada as much as 99.9% of the folks on this board. Mostly New Brunswick, but also BC, Quebec and Alberta, but i still would not claim i can predict any particular demographic there. It all depends on where you go. A visitor to the US who only visits MS and LA will think the US is 50/50 black/white.
