Personally I don’t think foreign nationals should be able to buy private property in the US unless they e lived and worked here for a certain designated time period. At least a few years

Foreign Business buying commercial property and employing Americans is different.

Some municipalities have made some stipulations on buying homes to stop the cash investment buyers. Think Franklin, TN has done this.

The average market time for real estate locally is 5 days. Its not locals that are buying, people are competing vs corporations and investors. Makes you wonder what's on the horizon, and what they do know.

Mostly in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, New York, and Chicago.

Not as much of it in other places.

There are a shite load of new mid rise residential buildings all over Toronto. It just doesn't make sense. The growth rate there just isn't that strong.

Yah, been like that a while. Costs of commercial real estate there is unreal. Hell, the average residential home in the city is over 800k.

I think the better argument would be: Is Trudueu curbing the free range of capitalism?

-or-

Are globalists exploiting a pseudo-Capitalist system?

According to my nephew in CA, the Chinese are buying up all the properties being vacated for Austin, Nashville, etc.

This is why I find it hilarious that liberals in this country bitch about how this is the most oppressive place on earth when it comes to immigration and foreigners.
I do too. My wife immigrated here from Venezuela and got teary eyed when she visited her first HEB store and brought jarred spaghetti sauce.

The fact that it doesn’t have a shared wall doesn’t translate into excessive water usage or emissions in of itself over a duplex or triplex, despite what the “you will own nothing” crowd insists.
