Can you see those magic eye pictures in the paper?

I've never been able to see one in my fricking life. I know people that can see them right away. What's the trick?

I see them right away.
It's sort of like you look at but don't look AT it.
You focus beyond the page.
That's why they recommend holding it close to your nose and then slowly move it away. Try to not change your focal point.
Eventually you'll notice something recognizable. When you do then try to maintain that focal point while using your peripheral vision to make out the rest of the image. If you can do that then the image just sort of "pops out" in something like 3-D.
That started happening really quickly with me once I did it the first time.

I actually see two sharks, one smaller in the front than a bigger one twoward the back
