Hole is about 1/8" and its a hot water pressured line. I was wondering if there is a way to patch it temporarily for a few days.

Flex seal tape seems like just the product.

I patched a hole in your Mom last night.

Yes, they make wraps for this as well as other products. Some are supposed to be permanent fixes. Not sure about that but the wraps will certainly work for a few weeks until you can sweat a new elbow in.
“Stretch & Seal” at Home Depot. $7.
You said “temporary” for a few days. This is what you are looking for.

Either call a plumber to replace it or do it yourself.

Turn off water, cut pipe, sancloth, attach shark bite elbow, turn water back on.

Are you the guy who hammered through that hard buildup in your tub drain?

Get some shark bite connectors and fix it.

Can you shove a wet noodle up a bobcats arse?

Things that make you say hmmmmmmmm...

You are talking about doing a wet permanent fix without shutting water off? I wouldn't trust those for the long haul. Just shut it off and get a sharkbite or solder in a new elbow. Soldering copper isn't hard at all.

Do yourself a big favor and replace it

I couldn't do it, no. I'd have to hire a plumber to tell me whether he could do it and how much it would cost.

This is the quickest way to handle it as an amature. Shark Bites are the shite.

This right here. Those things are freaking awesome. I'll never sweat pipe again as long as I live.
