Brazing it with brass is the only perminate patching that will work with copper besides replacing the copper itself. JB weld and all of these other epoxies will not hold.

Mine has been in place for quite a while. A root had crimped the line and the pipe failed at the site of the crimp. I can't remember whether I cut the pipe at each end to remove the crimp (but I'm sure I did). It is not a main pressurized line, but there is water pressure.

For a day or two just stick a roofing screw with a rubber gasket. It will hold a few days.
