Can we all agree that there won’t be school in the Fall

Nothing has changed, the virus is still out there, and there is no cure in sight. Since it’s sooo dangerous that we must shut everything down and everyone must stay at home and lose their jobs/lives, then there’s no way we can allow the schools to open back up in a couple months.
You can’t social distance schools, school buses, cafeterias, classrooms, etc.
Nothing will change from now to August, as the virus won’t simply disappear.
I know parents with multiple elementary aged children won’t like to hear this, but schools must stay closed according to our government.
If it’s unsafe to grab a beer and wings at the bar, then surely 1,000+ little kids in confined spaces for 10+ hours per day would be deadly, right?

Considering there are signs that children can't transmit this to their parents, no.

Our district fully expects to have on campus school in the Fall.

There'll be school. But in most states it won't be anything like what you're used to.

No.
Several countries in Europe have already opened their schools.
We can use them as models.

We need to stay shut down completely until either we're all safe or there's a vaccine.

I’m considering pulling my kids out of their current private school down here in south Florida for the fall. The cost is about 2.5x that of private schools in Louisiana and they offer no refund when the school itself is closed(also have to pay for the year if you withdraw them).
Considering either moving them to a school that allows you to withdraw them without penalty if it shifts back to online learning or just homeschooling for the year. Just don’t want to be stuck with an extremely expensive tuition for this bullshite again.

There’s been quite the shift of the goalposts from flatten the curve to hide in our houses for a year

No only will there be school, in the fall, districts around me that have been virtual since March are having in person graduation ceremonies as previously scheduled.

Absolutely can't agree to that.
School starts in 3 months. 3 months ago, we barely knew what Covid-19 was. So much can happen in 3 months.

If you're so fricking scared, move to California. The rest of us will be getting back to a somewhat normal life with a few exceptions.
