My issue is it feels like this summer there’s been no break once the sun goes down from higher temps and humidity. Usually it dips down in the 60s/70s here and you can at least get out at that point. Or earlier in the morning. At 11 pm last night it was still high 80s with high 90s heat index. It’s unrelenting and no, not normal for my area.
We’ve also had double the normal rain we have in the summer this year and it just keeps feeding it feeling like pea soup here.

This is when the heat really takes a toll. There's no recovery. We've had a few nights like that this Summer.

Agreed if you live in the South. It's probably great in Washington, Alaska or Maine, but it's easily the worst of 4 here.

Consider yourself lucky, it could be the exact opposite. It's rained less than a quarter inch in the last month in most parts of central Arkansas. There is an extreme drought occuring for most of the area; some rivers, streams, and bayous I've never seen this dry in my 39 year memory. Grass is all dead and crunchy, ground is rock solid, trees are browning.
But most of all, no break from the sun as there's been no cloudy or overcast days. My AC unit is living the "I'm tired boss" meme
