It is these commissions that truly enable the total salary of a top sales person to rival or even exceed that of a CEO

I can see this in a small business where the CEO is just that, the boss
He may take a salary & bonuses & an outside salesman may “make” more money once commission is added

Then you add in the cars, additional offices (vacation homes) & running everything they possibly can through the business & it’s not even close

Why would I take a demotion and start peddling frac valves or reagents like you when I could just continue interacting with the CEO of major retailers? Doesn't sound like a smart move to me, but then again Im not smart enough to have a general business degree

Most high end sales people are talking to the same people you are. Most of the time we are talking about how awkward you stupid fricks are to be around while playing golf and laughing that you are back in the office fixing our frick ups.

Next time ask them if they use google to source their products they sell. Or if they bought their CRM system from Bing?

I hear ERP’s are going real cheap on Facebook marketplace right now.

Well that's not at all what I said, but you obviously can't handle that part so I'll gloss over it.

You get your products through Google and run surgeries. You’re scumbag contractor getting his material from the dumpster.

If a father is on the verge of losing his daughter and he has you buying his daughters cheap medical devices, he will want to throw you on the surgeon’s table and carve your heart out for risking his daughter’s life over tax cuts. On the other hand someone like me recommending a device/procedure for more money but would save his daughter’s life, he’d want to give me a handjob. You’re a scumbag, and a dumb one at that.

I don't think you understand what consulting is. I doubt you're selling staples directly to the CFO

Well that's very unlikely seeing as Lowes has a very sophisticated inventory tracking system

It’s happened to me twice. In the last week.

Me: “It says right here you have...”

Clerk: “Oh that thing is never right. If it’s not right here we ain’t got it”

You're even stupider than I thought you were. The products being used are already bought. You just frick it up when you sell it to them so I get them money back. Additionally, being tax exempt doesnt change what they buy. It's a status of their business that let's them purchase things at a reduced or eliminated rate.

Were not talking about dead babies here.

I've got about 13k of cash right now just sitting idle. My only out of pocket bills are $1100 for rent and $300 for student loans so cash flow isn't an issue. I put between $500 and $1000 a month into that savings account and should get a fairly substantial raise in October.

For that high paying leadership role you are in those are some interesting numbers to work with. Good luck with your future and I hope that you got the info you were looking for out of this debate tonight.

That's that specific account. Do you have 13k sitting idle after all other investments? That's after maxing everything else

$1200 an hour should gross you around $2.5mm a year.

You’re doing something wrong

wouldn't saving the patients money in the ever rising Healthcare industry be in their best interests?

Wait, you think any hospital is really concerned about “saving patients money”? If that was the case why doesn’t the hospital association lobby for full transparency?

It’s pretty obvious that you are a consultant and the goal isn’t to save the patient dollar one. It is to maximize profits for your client hospital. Go back to my earlier post and see how you increase revenue in a non-transparent system. Get the patient up, healthy and out and bank those extra bed days that the 3rd Party Payer is contracted for. Also stop wasting time in the OR by employing top notch efficient surgeons and turn rooms faster.
