Can someone explain to me the appeal of Coachella

Looks like an absolutely miserable experience surrounded by some of the most annoying elements of the American population. Not sure why it gets so much hype, like with YouTube doing live coverage of it all weekend.

I don't really understand the hate that Coachella gets every year. Sure IG influencers go there to promote different products and take photos. But is that really any different than tourist locations where people always take photos for the gram.

at the end of the day it's just a music festival with some celebrities in the crowds. I've never been. Looks less trashy than most festivals, though. Lots of attractive women.
