Many of them are shacks. How do the owners connect with China? Are their fireworks conventions that explain trends in the industry? Profit margins? Licenses?

The 4th of July is notoriously slow for meth sales. It's an easy way to bridge the gap.

Profit margins?

Some rednecks in my hometown have a few stands and they told me they clear around 40,000 per year each stand.

I'm sure that number goes much lower or higher depending on the location but they do seem to be pretty profitable for only working 2 months a year.

There are wholesale places you have to have a license to buy from. Those prices are shockingly low, as we all know. I know a lady who use to do this every year for the Fourth and NYE and she’d make $15,000 for about four weeks of work total every year. She’s a teacher so she was able to work her small stand herself out of her shed since she was already off.

In East Tennessee they have permanent structures and some warehouses that operate year round. I’ve never understand the year round need for fireworks, but hey, when you need to blow things up, you need to blow things up I suppose.

In Denham Springs, it’s apparently compulsory to smoke a cigarette while working at a fireworks stand.

Fireworks are a scourge for dog owners. I wish nothing but death upon every neighborhood idiot who sets them off.

Buy fireworks unbelievably cheap and then sell it at an insane yet pretty affordable mark up twice a year. Pretty simple.

Many of the small pop up type stands are some for fund raising abc fireworks sets it all up and churches scouts non profits staff it and they split the proceeds. Why does Tennessee have so many thank Eisenhower, I 81 I 75 I 40 I 65 I 24 I 55 people from Blue States (sparkler states)travel through and tell us how great it is to live in NY and buy fireworks and cigs

Profitable enough for someone I know to leave the building empty the rest of the year.

You gotta make sure you have some whistling bungholes, spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker dos, hoosker dont’s, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers – with or without the scooter stick – and plenty of whistling kitty chasers
