I loved it. Most underrated complex in Baton Rouge.

Lived there 98-01 and it was decent. Not sure that helps 16 years later. My truck was broken into several times but that was pretty standard around LSU back then unfortunately.

I literally laughed out loud. My wife asked me what was so funny so I told her. She did the same. Take that for what it's worth.

El cid probably ain't the best but some of the complexes in that area aren't bad at all.

It was prett shitty when I was in college, 2003-2007. I remember thinking I understood why it was so cheap.

It's pretty amazing how fast apartment complexes in Baton Rouge turn into total shitholes.

It's kind of impressive in its own way.

I lived in Embassy apartments for a year. The two bedroom unit was like $600 in those days. My student job paid my rent.

Walked to campus every day. I almost never used my car.

I got a fungal infection on my foot at El Cid in '99 I never could shake off. It eventually moved up my leg and had the leg chopped off the next year before the fungus reached my genitals. Best decision I ever made.

well, it was a shithole in the early '90s, so I am guessing it is not too damn good 25 years later.
